'How Does Your Garden Grow?'
Meet the Experts in St James's Park
The Royal Parks and The Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Rooms are presenting a 'Meet the Experts' session on Sunday 22nd June at the Dig for Victory allotment in St James's Park.
Visitors will get the chance to put their questions relating to gardening and horticulture to experts in these fields. Mark Wasilewski, Park Manager of St James's Park and a range of gardening and horticulture professionals will be on hand to share their knowledge and to give talks between 11am and 4pm. Admission is free of charge.
The 'Dig for Victory: War on Waste' organic allotment promotes sustainability and recycling and is being tended by school groups and community volunteers throughout the summer. It provides a working example of how to grow fruit and vegetables; attract wildlife and recycle waste.
The allotment is open daily from 10am to 5pm until 30 September 2008. For further details about the project and other events please visit: www.iwm.org.uk/digforvictory and www.royalparks.org.uk.

Notes to Editors
The theme of this year's allotment is 'War on Waste' - it is inspired by the 'Ministry of Food's wartime rationing and salvage campaigns. A temporary display at the Churchill Museum and Cabinet War Room accompanies the project. 'Dig for Victory: Make-do and Mend' features clothes rationing and the impact of 'Make-do and Mend' clothes recycling principles on modern fashion.
