Calling all young nature detectives
Regent's Park

* Are you a nature nut or a wildlife detective?

* Would you like to spend Sunday afternoons exploring the wildlife of Regent's Park'

* If you are aged between 6 - 12 years old, and are free once a month then here's your chance!.

Wildlife for All is setting up a new Wildlife Watch Group, in partnership with the London Wildlife Trust. The first group is starting on Sunday 21st September between 2- 4pm in Regent's Park. All children are welcome and the sessions are free.

Sessions will include games, arts and crafts, nature detective work and lots of running about outside, often in non-public areas of the Park. We can guarantee you'll go home full of fascinating facts about the Park's owls, foxes and beetles, as well as finding out about lots of other important green issues.

In the first session on Sunday 21st September we will be hunting for magical mini-beasts in hidden areas, identifying our finds and getting messy making 3D models.

The dates for the next sessions in Regent's Park are Sunday 19th October with the theme of TreeMendous Trees, and Sunday 16th November with Compost Cafe. The sessions are run by registered Leaders who are First Aid trained, and familiar with Child Welfare issues. Under 8's have to be accompanied.

Editor's notes:
Wildlife for All is a three-year partnership project between The Royal Parks and RSPB funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Its aims are to bring a wide variety of people and communities across London closer to their local wildlife in the eight Royal Parks through an exciting and innovative activities programme, which includes wildlife watch points, an education programme and mobile information unit.

Wildlife Watch is the junior branch of the Wildlife Trusts with groups throughout the country running local activities. It aims to encourage and inspire young people to take an interest in their natural environment. Each session will be run by registered Wildlife Watch Leaders and comply with the Wildlife Trusts' Child Welfare and Safety Policy.
