Partner Organisations
We're working with a number of partners to make sure
that everyone gets the most from the Parks.
Liberty Drives
Liberty
Drives provides free mobility for anyone who finds it difficult to
see all 760 acres of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens.
Electric buggies with wheelchair facilities, each seating five
people glide around the parks providing half hour rides. It is also
possible to be dropped off at a favourite place and be picked up
later.
This scheme is supported by donations from the community and operated
by volunteer drivers. Groups of people can be catered for by arrangement.

Wild in the Parks
Wild
in the Parks is a major partnership between the RSPB and The Royal
Parks. The three year project has been made possible by a £369,000
grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Working within the Royal Parks and in parks in the London Boroughs
of Barking & Dagenham, Brent, Croydon and Hammersmith & Fulham, the
project aims to raise awareness of the importance of conserving wildlife
and of managing parks and greenspaces in a sympathetic way.
The project will help to spread the message that everybody can
do something to conserve the wildlife that shares the spaces we live
work and play in. By working with groups that are currently under-represented
as park users the project hopes to increase everybody's access to
their natural heritage.
Participants will engage in a variety of activities including tailored
events, an environmental education programme for schools, the creation
of a demonstration wildlife garden in Regent's Park, and by contributing
to a modern archive of how people feel about parks and wildlife at
the start of the 21st Century.
Ten people, drawn from communities currently underrepresented in
the park management/wildlife management sector, will be given the
opportunity to undertake a free ten week training course run by Capel
Manor on horticulture and gardening for wildlife.
